Oregon State University is proud of its cultural diversity. Students come from all over the world to follow their dreams. As you navigate a new country and adapt to life at OSU, we can help you find the resources you need to meet just about any challenge.
At the Office of Advocacy, we are here to help. It may be something as simple as learning how to mail a letter. Often, international students struggle with the cultural differences between the United States and their countries of origin. Bariş Karaka (pictured above) has had to culturally adapt like you, and is best suited to help international students navigate the complexities of a new country.
While we don't work on immigration or visa issues directly, our colleagues in Student Legal Services can help you with these matters. We can also work in tandem with the Office of International Services to ensure your needs are met.
Engagement of international students and researchers in education through the open and interdisciplinary pursuit of research and discovery is foundational to OSU's mission.
